Permissions and requirements to manage Competency Assessments


Permissions


There are three levels of permissions involved in the assessment process:


Assessment Design


To create assessment templates, you can use the system (preset) role, Competency Editor, which includes all the permissions required.


These permissions are:


  • Competency:Create/Edit Templates
  • Competency:Mark Competency Tests


Assessment Assign/Perform


To manage, assign and perform assessments, the system role, Competency Assessor, includes all the permissions required.


These permissions are:


  • Competency:Assign Assessments
  • Competency:View Assessments
  • Competency:Perform Competency Assessment


Other system roles that include these permissions are:


  • Administration Editor
  • Global Editor (excluding admin and personnel records)
  • Global Editor (excluding admin)


Assessment Candidates

To take assessments, the system role, Competency Viewer, includes all the permissions required.


These permissions are:


  • Competency:View Templates
  • Competency:View Tests
  • Competency:View Assessments


Requirements


Assessments can be restricted to one or more OUs. Therefore, the permissions above are required within the OU of interest in order to have access to the assessment templates and assessments.
